Last tour starts one hour before closing. Closed between Christmas and New Year.

Admission price:
Adults : £4.00 (includes a discount voucher which is redeemable in the distillery shop towards the purchase of a 70cl bottle of single malt whisky).
Children: free.
Please note that children under 8 years old are not admitted to the production areas.

DISTILLERY BOTTLINGS

Clynelish - 14 year old - 46%
Colour:
Yellow gold.
Nose:
Light candle wax, with some sugar. A faint floral fragrance. Wax comes up with water  scented candle wax. Dried flowers on a beach. Later, brown sugar.
Palate:
Pleasant mouthfeel, not as waxy as some expressions; maritime generally.
Finish:
Some salt in the aftertaste; dryish, even slightly bitter finish.

Sherry refill.
Colour:
Mid gold. Deep straw.
Nose:
Mild sherry character. Sherbet. Invigorating.
Palate:
Light summer fruits. Melon and strawberry conserve.
Finish:
Light and fruity with a sweeter sherry backbone.

Nose:
Malty notes, tropical fruits - mango and pineapple. Banana and toasted brown sugar.
Palate:
Toasted malt and tropical fruits concentrate on the palate. Hints of almonds and dried apricots.
Finish:
Lingering fruitiness with smoke.

Refill Sherry Hogsheads.
Colour:
Pale yellow.
Nose:
Sweet and malty with a distinct peaty note. Hints of leather and some briny/ozone notes.
Palate:
Sweet, oily with peat and creosote flavours. Again the malty notes are present with a drying spiciness.
Finish:
Sweet and rich - hint of smoke.

Colour:
Yellow gold.
Nose:
Oily - nutty with some ripe fruit aromas. Slightly waxy - rice paper and a touch of floral.
Palate:
Rich, smoky (toasted) with tobacco & new leather. A little fruitiness.
Finish:
Rich, touch of smoke.

Colour:
Golden brown.
Nose:
Sweet, burnt sugar with toasted cereal notes.
Palate:
Sweet and spicy - reminiscent of treacle.
Finish:
Spice with some sweetness.

Colour:
Dull gold.
Nose:
Dried fruits - dates, prunes and figs. Some malty notes, hessian and new leather.
Palate:
Sweet and cloying, rich fruits and treacle toffees. Reminiscent of dark chocolate liqueurs.
Finish:
Sweet with some roasted maltiness.

:
Refill Sherry Hogshead.
Colour:
Deep gold.
Nose:
Sherry initially with lavender and parma violets. Cinnamon and moist fruitcake aromas.
Palate:
Spicy with sweet sherry notes and hints of freshly cut grass. Some dark chocolate and floral flavours.
Finish:
A little smoke and rich fruit notes.
