Glengoyne Tour (£4.50)
Guests are welcomed, offered a dram of Glengoyne 10 year old Single Highland Malt whisky, view a short video about the distillery and are taken on an informative and entertaining tour by one of our experienced Brands Heritage Assistants, ending at our Slainte Mhath Shop.

Wee Tasting Tour
Glengoyne tour as above plus an additional tasting of our award winning Glengoyne 17 year old Single Highland Malt Whisky at the end of their visit.

Tasting Tour
The Tasting Tour includes a dram of 10 year and 12 year old Single Highland Malt whisky, a short video presentation and guided tour of the distillery. At the end of the tour guests are welcomed in to the new Glengoyne Club Room where they can relax with a taste of Glengoyne 17 year and 21 year old Single Highland Malt whisky.

Cask Tasting Tour
The Cask Tasting tour is specifically designed for guests, who enjoy tasting, and learning about, cask strength whisky. Guests are welcomed with a dram of 12 year old Single Highland Malt before enjoying a full guided tour of the distillery including a visit to the bonded warehouses. At the end of the tour guests are invited to the new Glengoyne Club Room to taste three Single Cask whiskies.

Master Blender Session
Guests are welcomed with a dram of Glengoyne 10 year old Single Highland Malt before enjoying a guided tour of the distillery including a visit to the bonded warehouses. After the tour guests are invited in to our new state-of the-art whisky Sample Room where they can taste Langs Select blended whisky and award winning Glengoyne 17 year old Single Highland Malt whilst learning about the art of the Master Blender. Guests will then have the opportunity to create their own blend which will be bottled in a 100ml sample bottle for them to take home, along with a certificate.

DISTILLERY BOTTLINGS

Glengoyne - 10 year old
Colour:
Golden yellow. Clear and bright.
Nose:
Zoet, toffee, popcorn, tikje notig, appelen.
Palate:
Sweet, with toffee and popcorn aromas. Slightly nutty, with fresh green apples coming through.
Finish:
Sweet and malty.
Glengoyne - 12 year old
Colour:
Amber, syrupy. Sauternes.
Nose:
Oak, sherry, digestive biscuits, sweet oatcakes, banana, apricot, peaches, marzipan and peardrops. Does not prick the nose, despite high strength.
Palate:
Smooth, sweet start, with some sherry and chocolate.
Finish:
Very long, stays with you until morning!
Glengoyne - Limited - Oak Wood Finish- 15 year old - 43%
Cask:
Spirit was matured for 15 years in the usual mix of fresh sherry and refill casks, before being finished in new Scottish oak casks for 3 months and 1 week.

:
Amber, with well developed cathedral windows in the glass.
Nose:
Rich, sweet vanilla. Honey comb, syrupy.
Palate:
Apple crumble with vanilla custard, then rich, bitter dark chocolate.
Finish:
Very long, dry and oaky.
  Glengoyne - Mashman's Bottling "Jim's Choice" - 15 year old - 57%
Cask No 1083. Only 693 bottles. Distilled on 1st April 1991. Bottled in August 2006.

Cask No 1024. Only 350 bottles. Distilled on 4th July 1989. Bottled in May 2005.

Nose:
Some sherry, Christmas pudding. Plenty of fruit - raisins, ripe apples and tinned oranges in syrup.

Malty, treacle, slightly nutty. Orange peel, apple compot. Rich oak.
Finish:
Long and rich, with spicy oak.
  Glengoyne - Mashman's Bottling "Charlie's Choice" - 17 yo - 56%
Cask No 1231. Only 279 bottles. Distilled on 6th July 1989. Bottled in August 2006.

Golden yellow.
Nose:
Wild flowers, butter and cider apples. Elegant.
Palate:
Rich and bold. Vanilla fudge, banana, cooked apples and ripe melon.
Finish:
Superb, long, complex and rich.
  Glengoyne - Stillmans's Bottling "Ewan's Choice" - 19 yo - 51,5%
Cask No 441. Only 600 bottles. Distilled on 13th July 1986. Bottled in May 2005.

Deep Copper, Meandering Legs.
Nose:
Red apples, toffee, sherry, spicy strudel.
Palate:
Lots of Sherry, honey, oak with a developing aromatic sensation. Ends with a heavenly cinnamon nip.
Finish:
Long, sherry, spicy, warm and dry.
  Glengoyne - 2006 Rare bottlings - 21 year old
Colour:
Rich red/ amber.
Nose:
Bees wax, Demerara sugar, spicy, apple strudel, sherry wood.
Palate:
Liquorice, toasted almonds, all spice, stewed apples, mouth coating, gives an initial blast of flavours and then softens.
Finish:
Long after taste, aniseed, sweet, brown sugar.
  Glengoyne - Stillmans's Bottling "Ronnie's Choice" - 22 yo - 53,6%
Cask No 449. Only 200 bottles. Distilled on 23rd December 1982. Bottled in May 2005.

  Glengoyne - 2006 Rare bottlings - 29 year old
Colour:
Bright, liquid honey.
Nose:
Initial burst of bakers yeast, cinnamon and cloves, gives way to dark fruits and damson jam.
Palate:
Great balance of whisky and cask. Sweet fruit, almonds, marzipan and light, dry oak.
Finish:
Lingering.
  Glengoyne - 2005 Rare bottlings - 32 year old
Colour:
Bright gold, with sturdy legs in the glass.
Nose:
Roses, sweet vanilla and red apples.
Palate:
Syrupy mouthfeel, stewed plums, black grapes and dry, mellow oak.
Finish:
Long and dry.
  Glengoyne - 2006 Rare bottlings - 36 year old
Colour:
Old gold. Oily, with slow, sticky legs.
Nose:
Fresh green fruit, vanilla, almonds and apple crumble. Just a tickle of empty cigar boxes and orange marmalade.
Palate:
Initially sweet citrus and tropical fruit, orange peel and liquorice. Grapefruit and tobacco comes through with water.
Finish:
Long and dry.
  Glengoyne - 2005 Rare bottlings - 37 year old
Colour:
Coppery-gold.
Nose:
Sweet. Dark chocolate and pear drops.
Palate:
Warm mouth-feel. Pepper and cocoa, then boiled sweets and honey.
Finish:
Medium to long.

Glengoyne 1972 -
Colour:
A natural pale, yet bright Imperial gold. The light syrupy smoothness creates slowly forming legs on the glass which slowly meander.
Nose:
The fruitiness of bananas, sweeties and fruit punch combine with the rich, yet subtle floral notes of apple blossom and elderflower, followed by nectarine and grapefruit with hints of vanilla pod and dry oak wood.
Palate:
Light and syrup smooth at first with hints of liquorice and a spicy sweetness, followed by a ladder of delicate lemon peel and light cashew to reach new heights with an explosion of rich honeycomb sweetness and light oak. The aftertaste is dry and sweet, leading to an almond bitterness and aniseed.
Finish:
A medium to long dry, lingering finish which is sweet and mouth warming, followed by glazed orange and sweet kaki. A delightfully rich candy concoction.
