  Glenrothes - 30 year old
A vatting of casks from the early 1970’s bottled as a 30 year old Glenrothes. Just 1134 bottles.
Colour:
Copper, golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Exotic, heady spices - nutmeg and sandelwood.
Palate:

Finish:
Very long, citrus and medium dry.
Glenrothes - Select Reserve - 43%
Selected and vatted from casks from different years.
Colour:
Pale golden.
Nose:
American oak, vanilla and coconut, hint of plums.
Palate:
Full malty flavour, medium sweet, vanilla and orange zest.
Finish:
Medium length, medium dry.
Glenrothes - Vintage 1994 - 43%
Distilled in October 1994 and bottled in April 2006.
Colour:
Pale golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Fruity, toffee and marshmallows.
Palate:
Soft, fruity, lemon and citrus.
Finish:
Long, soft and fruity.
Glenrothes - Vintage 1992 - 43%
First bottled in 2004. Demand has been such that stocks lasted not longer than summer 2006.
Colour:
Medium golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Soft, fruity, ripe black plums and liquorice.
Palate:
Soft, citrus, orange zest and sherry oak.
Finish:
Medium length, spicy.

Colour:
Autumn gold, clear and bright.
Nose:
Rich, mature aroma, berry fruits, vanilla and white chocolate.
Palate:
Soft, mature palate, coconut, vanilla and butterscotch.
Finish:
Long, vanilla sweet finish.
  Glenrothes - Vintage 1989 - 43%
They had lots of the Vintage 1989, over 500,000 bottles - although in the world of malt whisky this is in fact a very small amount. Nonetheless, the 1989 spanned three years and finally became extinct from their warehouses in 2003. Chillfiltered.

The first ever Vintage of The Glenrothes, bottled in 1994, was the 1979. Coincidently this was the centenary year of the completion of the distillery. A second bottling in 2002.

Nose:
Rich, full aroma, ripe red orange.
Palate:
Full flavour, soft, mellow vanilla.
Finish:
Long, medium sweet.

Ethereal, minty and dark chocolate.
Palate:
Rich, ethereal and cinamon.

With only 3708 bottles, it is one of the smallest-ever (Glenrothes) Vintage runs.

Deep golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Wonderfully rich and mature vanilla, nutty and fruits with a hint of orange/lemon.
Palate:
Rich, toffee, vanilla, dark chocolate, nutty and grapefruit.
Finish:
Good length, medium sweet.

Less than 20,000 bottles of this Vintage have been released since its first bottling in 2000.

Full golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Rich, full, aromatic, hints of eucalyptus.
Palate:
Rich, full, citrus, orange peel.
Finish:
Long, medium dry.

Nose:
Complex aroma of Seville oranges with a hint of mint.
Palate:
Rich, full flavour, aromatic and spicy like old fashioned humbug.

Cask:
Refill sherry Casks.
Colour:
Golden.
Nose:
Fruity with hints of green apples and gooseberries. Some malty, cereal notes - traces of fresh coconut.
Palate:
Sweet with floral and fruit flavours. Some dark chocolate and nutty notes also present.
Finish:
Short and clean.

Cask:
First Fill Sherry Casks.
Colour:
Golden brown.
Nose:
Sweet with malty notes and some wood oil aromas.
Palate:
Initially cereal flavours followed by hints of chocolate and smoke.
Finish:
Long and warming.
Glenrothes 1965 - MacPhail's Collection - 43%
Cask:
First Fill and Refill Sherry Hogsheads.
Colour:
Golden brown.
Nose:
Rich sherry aromas with hints of treacle and a little menthol. Rounded but quite closed.
Palate:
Rich, sweet flavours - sherry, spices earthy/eucalyptus, some menthol and a touch of peat smoke.
Finish:
Sherry with a hint of peat smoke.

Cask:
First Fill Sherry Hogsheads.
Colour:
Golden.
Nose:
Fruity - citrus and soft fruits (melon/peaches). Spicy hints - menthol/eucalyptus.
Palate:
Leafy and floral with a touch of cedar wood.
Finish:
Drying.
