A vatting of casks from the early 1970’s bottled as a 30 year old Glenrothes. Just 1134 bottles.

Copper, golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Exotic, heady spices - nutmeg and sandelwood.
Palate:

Very long, citrus and medium dry.

Selected and vatted from casks from different years.
Colour
:
Pale golden.
Nose:
American oak, vanilla and coconut, hint of plums.
Palate:
Full malty flavour, medium sweet, vanilla and orange zest.
Finish:
Medium length, medium dry.
Glenrothes - Vintage 1994 - 43%
Distilled in October 1994 and bottled in April 2006.

Pale golden, clear and bright.
Nose:
Fruity, toffee and marshmallows.
Palate:
Soft, fruity, lemon and citrus.

Long, soft and fruity.

First bottled in 2004. Demand has been such that stocks lasted not longer than summer 2006.

Soft, fruity, ripe black plums and liquorice.

Medium length, spicy.

Rich, mature aroma, berry fruits, vanilla and white chocolate.
Palate:
Soft, mature palate, coconut, vanilla and butterscotch.

  Glenrothes - Vintage 1989 - 43%
They had lots of the Vintage 1989, over 500,000 bottles - although in the world of malt whisky this is in fact a very small amount. Nonetheless, the 1989 spanned three years and finally became extinct from their warehouses in 2003. Chillfiltered.

Nose:
Fruity with hints of green apples and gooseberries. Some malty, cereal notes - traces of fresh coconut.
Palate:
Sweet with floral and fruit flavours. Some dark chocolate and nutty notes also present.
Finish:
Short and clean.

Nose:
Sweet with malty notes and some wood oil aromas.
Palate:
Initially cereal flavours followed by hints of chocolate and smoke.

Nose:
Rich sherry aromas with hints of treacle and a little menthol. Rounded but quite closed.

Finish:
Sherry with a hint of peat smoke.
